I’m a linguistics PhD candidate in my 5th year at the University of California, Los Angeles, where I am advised by Bruce Hayes and Megha Sundara. My research uses computer simulations to show how wide-ranging aspects of natural language sound structure and sound change can emerge from the dynamic interaction of relatively superficial listener and speaker behaviors.
